HVAC - Cooling Tower

The hot deck of this cooling tower has rusted, requiring immediate repair.

HVAC - Drip Pans

This air handler drip pan was being attacked by corrosion.  If allowed to continue rusting, it would have required replacement of the floor of the unit.  The Belzona membrane system applied allowed the unit to be returned to service quickly, minimizing downtime and extending the service life of the unit.  Note – photo reflects condition of unit after 2 years of service.

HVAC - In-Place Shaft Repair

A failed bearing resulted in damage to this Air Handler shaft.  The shaft was repaired in place, using a Belzona forming technique.  Repair saved this customer thousands of dollars – part repaired versus replaced, returned to service in 1 day versus 1-2 weeks, and no facility structural work was required.

HVAC - Tube Sheets

Prior to being coated, this tube sheet was suffering from bi-metallic corrosion.  Once coated, maintenance was easier and more cost effective to operate.  This condenser tube sheet has been coated for 10 years, with this photo taken at the 6th year coating anniversary.

Concrete Repair

These Food Processing bumper walls face daily and constant chemical attack.  Prior to coating with Belzona, previous coating attempts failed several times, annually.  Customer was facing escalating costs associated with downtime and facing health department issues due to inability to properly clean the area.  The Belzona system has now been installed for over 10 years.

Marine

The lube oil cooler of this ship was heavily damaged from bimetallic corrosion that is made worse by the salt water.  There was heavy metal loss in these sheets.  They are restored using a Belzona metallic polymer.

Power Plant - Chutes & Silos

Damage to this ash silo floor allowed water to seep in, which turned the ash into a concrete-like substance.  Once hardened, the ash was difficult to remove for disposal.  The damaged concrete was rebuilt and an expansion joint added.

Power Plant - Hydrogen Cooler Head

The division bar in this hydrogen cooler head had corroded to the point where it fell out.  The problem was discovered during the final days of the plant outage.  Using Belzona forming techniques, we built a new division bar and completed repair within the remaining outage window.

Power Plant - Pumps

These pumps are some of the many we have rebuilt and coated inside and out with a Belzona system.  This system greatly increases pump efficiency and longevity.

Power Plant - Scrubber Piping

The piping in this scrubber became damaged by high pressure lime slurry being sprayed onto the surface by the scrubber nozzle.  These damaged areas were repaired quickly and effectively using Belzona’s Ceramic R Metal product.

Pulp and Paper - Chipper Discs

The knife pockets in these chipper discs were damaged from impact and abrasion.  The Belzona Ceramic Carbide solution is a proven solution that has been used in many paper mills around the world.

Pulp and Paper - Stuffing Box

The wear ring seats of this stuffing box were suffering from erosion and corrosion. This would not allow the wear rings to seat properly. This was going to cause a serious loss of efficiency for this unit. The seats were rebuilt with Belzona Ceramic Carbide.

Pulp and Paper - Waterproofing

Water leaks into the control room of this paper mill were causing damage to electronic equipment.  The epoxy membrane (Belzona 3121) shown in the picture was used to stop the leaks with no interruption to service.  This has become a standard repair practice at this mill.

Reactive Coating Equipment

This bottling table was suffering from severe corrosion attack. The acid in the beverage was corroding the table causing the bottles to not line up with the filling tubes correctly. This allowed more beverage to spill and more attack to occur. The table was rebuilt and protected with a Belzona system. This system provided for a rapid repair that is impervious to the chemicals in the beverage.
